Even if you are a seasoned veteran of the Colorado brew scene you probable haven’t had time to try all the delectable beers produced along the Front Range. After all, there are now 100 breweries within an hour’s drive of our capital city, and plenty more than that throughout the state. If you assume each brewery is whetting our taste buds with about four or five beers each…well, you do the math. So how does the average beer lover decide where to begin? You could go buy a six pack of each of your favorite styles. However, you would probably be out a few hundred dollars and that wouldn’t include all of the great beers that are only sold in tasting rooms and on draft. Why not just sit back and mentally drink up the following Denver Life Magazine beer reviews before you head to your favorite watering hole? We’ve selected 18 of the best beers this state has to offer and we’re letting you know exactly what you are getting with each one. We’ve ranked each beer on a scale from 1-100 concerning overall taste. But if you’re worried that craft beers like these are too extreme for your liking, we’ve listed them in order from least intense to most intense as well. So start with the first brews listed and get bolder as you go!
