Treat that special someone to a magical day in Denver.
Valentine’s Day is almost here, and if planning the perfect day of romance for you and your loved one has got you romanced out, know that you aren’t alone. Put away the package deal apps and start with these five options.
Punch Bowl Social
Start with a sip of Punch Bowl Social’s new cocktail “Loves me, Loves me Not,” made with Old Forester Bourbon, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, Teakoe High Tide Hibiscus Tea and cayenne berry syrup. Stop by between January 29-February 12—before the big date—and take a selfie in front of the famous “I Love You” wall and share, including #loversandhaters, for the chance to win a $100 Punch Bowl Social gift card.
Skip the traditional restaurant and take your special someone to a professional cooking class, where you can both learn how to cook from skilled chefs. Sign up for Culinary Date Night, February 12-14, for a $99 per person Valentine’s Day special. Or, if you are more of a breakfast couple, sign up for the Valentine’s Brunch on February 14 from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
“Armando, a Show for Lovers”
Laughter is said to keep the romance alive, so add this improvisation act to your list of Valentine’s Day activities. Bovine Metropolis Theater (1527 Champa St.) will be performing “Armando, a Show for Lovers” as a tribute to the holiday of love. In each show, two pairs of couples will be invited on stage to be interviewed by the cast. The improv actors will then use the real-life stories of the couples to fuel their performance. Plus, each couple attending will receive a rose and chocolates. Reserve seats online.
Wine and Chocolate Weekend at Bonacquisti Wine Company
Enjoy a sophisticated weekend at Bonacquisti Wine Company (4640 Pecos St.) from February 13-14 with an open-house style wine tasting. Award-winning wine will be paired with hand-crafted chocolates from the Chocolate Lab and live music will be performed by Add 2 and Lovelorn Regal. Make reservations online or call 303.477.9463.
Downtown Carriage Ride
End the date with a romantic carriage ride through downtown Denver with Irish Rose Carriages, the oldest horse carriage company in town. Purchase the Romantic Deluxe Tour and snuggle up with your loved one for a 20-30 minute ride down the 19th Street Historical district and past Skyline Park. $150 per couple.
