Movie lovers, get ready to add update your IMDB account: Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Denver opens its second location today in Sloan’s Lake. The—ahem—sequel features eight screens, where everything from blockbuster hits to Alamo-style events like multi-course film feasts, live performances and in-person appearances will be on the schedule. You’ll also find a full menu curated by Denver executive market chef Seth Rexroad and Barfly, afull-service bar inspired by the film about Charles Bukowski and themed around Beat poets and Denver’s art scene. Creative director Steve Bessette is curating the drink menu, including a list of 32 local beers and hand-crafted cocktails.
Excited? It gets better. To celebrate the opening, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Denver is giving away free movie passes for an entire year to one lucky winner through a Victory program sweepstakes. That’s $4,562 worth of free films. To enter, sign up for Alamo’s Victory rewards program or, if you’re already a member, take this short five-question quiz. The contest runs through June 30 and the winner will be announced July 5.
The Sloan’s Lake Theatre is located at 4255 W. Colfax Ave., just blocks away Sloan’s Lake Park and the Perry Station light rail.
