Lions and tigers and ’80s music—oh, my!
The 28th annual Do at the Zoo gala at the Denver Zoo is set to take place June 15, with food from more than 55 local restaurants, plus beer, wine and cocktails, up-close animal experiences and music from The Goonies, an ’80s cover band.
The fundraiser, which has raised more than $12 million to improve the Denver Zoo and support its many causes, will benefit all of Denver Zoo’s functions, from state-of-the-art animal care and educational programs to world-renowned global conservation projects.
Also on the entertainment schedule: R&B artist Biff Gore, a top contestant on “The Voice,” and Buckner Funken Jazz, a seven-piece “old school funk” band.
The event is open to guests 21 and older. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Denver Zoo’s website.
The Denver Zoo will close at noon on June 15 to set up for the gala.
