Shake It Up with Boozy Shakes

When we’re on the hunt for a summer treat, we scream for creamy, sweet milkshakes. One thing that makes them even better: booze. “When I think of summer, I think of ice cream and cool cocktails. Why not mix the two? It’s a delicious combination,” says Ava Daniels, assistant manager at Union Station’s Milkbox Ice Creamery. Here, Daniels shares the recipes for the shop’s most popular boozy shakes—perfect for your next bash … and every other night.

DAD’S FAVORITE
INGREDIENTS
2 scoops Little Man Butterscotch ice cream
1 ½ ounces of Bulleit Bourbon

THE “DIRTY” WHITE RUSSIAN
INGREDIENTS
2 scoops Little Man Salted Oreo ice cream
1 ounce Kahlúa
1 ounce Tito’s Vodka

THE VEGAN  RUM-CHA CHA
INGREDIENTS
2 scoops Little Man Vegan Horchata ice cream
1 ½  ounces Sailor Jerry spiced rum

FYI … Make your own just-right shake with Daniels’ formula: 2 to 3 ice cream scoops (no more than 6 ounces) to 2 ½ ounces (or a shot and a half) of liquor.
