What’s better than a craft beer? A craft beer paired with gourmet food.

The sixth annual Chef n Brew Festival is set for Aug. 31 at the EXDO Event Center, where 22 of Denver’s top chefs will be teamed up with a local craft brewery in a competition to see who can come up with the perfect food and beer pairing.

Guests will have the opportunity to try all of the dishes and beer, and can then cast their votes for their favorite pairings for the People’s Choice Award. Last year, Strange Craft Brewing Company and Mizuna were the winners—both of will be back, but this year they’ll be competing against each other. Judges will give awards for Best Beer, Best Dish and Best Pairing.

A portion of all sales from the festival will go to Project Angel Heart, an organization that delivers nutritious meals to Colorado residents with life-threatening illnesses. Tickets to the Chef n Brew Festival are $49; for more information, visit the website.
