My morning beauty routine: “The first thing I do is wash my face with Aveda’s Botanical Kinetics Exfoliating Creme Cleanser. Then I apply SK-II’s Facial Treatment Essence all over my face and neck—I love how hydrating it is and how smooth and firm it leaves my skin. It has really helped improve my overall complexion. After letting that dry, I apply Derma E’s Vitamin C Concentrated Serum, which helps boost collagen health and minimizes the look of fine lines. I wrap up with La Mer’s moisturizing cream.”

Favorite ingredient: “Pitera, a main ingredient in SK-II’s Facial Treatment Essence. It’s an end product of fermentation and, after reading about the ingredient and learning more about the brand, I became pretty obsessed. I love what it’s doing to my skin.” Winter is coming.

How I keep my skin from getting dry: “I can’t live without a good moisturizer. Colorado is extremely dry and it’s always been a must step for me when getting ready, not only for my face but for my entire body. I love La Mer’s moisturizing cream and Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Oil.”

The one beauty item I can’t live without: “A good moisturizer or hydrating cream. I think I would be able to live without most of my beauty products, but not my moisturizers.”

My morning beauty routine: “I shower and wash my hair every other day, so it doesn’t dry out, using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner like Pantene or Kevin Murphy. I wash my face with Arcona’s Toner Tea cleansing bar; I am prone to eczema and have sensitive skin and, after trying a ton of products, found Arcona calmed my skin from reactions. Then I put on a couple drops of SkinCeuticals Vitamin C Serum, which has evened out my skin tone, and follow with Arcona Peptide Hydrating Complex moisturizer and sunscreen on my face and décolleté. I started wearing foundation in my 30s and use bareMinerals; if I’m going to a formal event, I wear Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Foundation for more coverage. I also use bareMinerals Joyous Jennifer blush, Chanel Volumizing Mascara, Anastasia dark brown brow powder and a nude lip gloss.”

Favorite ingredient: “Mascara. In the age of eyelash extensions, and as a person who doesn’t have them, I feel I look most put together when I have it on.”

Winter is coming. How I keep my skin from getting dry: “I try to drink a lot of water—and I use Arcona’s Overnight Cellular Repair Complex. It feels like a treat.”

My morning beauty routine: “First, I wash my face with hot, hot, hot water. Then I apply Jergens cold cream, massage my face and check my brows. I don’t use commercial products; I use mainly herbal products that help center me mentally and physically. Then I soak in a hot, hot bath with candles, incense, lavender bubbles and bath salts and shower to get the salts off. Then I apply hot tiger balm, a mix of oils and herbs that relieves pain and increases circulation, and do some yoga and stretching. Then I get dressed and put on my makeup: Covergirl Clean 165 foundation, Lancôme Star Bronzer Natural Glow, Covergirl Classic Iced Plum blush, Maybelline Ultra waterproof eyeliner and Great Lash mascara, Chanel Le Crayon Levres Framboise lip liner, Rimmel London “In Love With Ginger” lipstick and L’Oréal #805 gloss.”

Favorite ingredient: “I love anything with lavender, the Trésor perfume Katherine Dunham passed on to me and an oil made for me called Yemanjá (after the goddess of the sea) that provides healing and clarity.”

Winter is coming. How I keep my skin from getting dry: “I have oily skin, so I tend to pat that down. But when I do use an oil or lotion, I use Hawaiian coconut oil.”
