Denver design service connects homeowners with industry professionals
Maybe you’ve recently purchased a new home that could use a top-to-bottom interior design upgrade. Or you’re ready to tackle that full kitchen remodel. Or, perhaps now is the time to finally get that new addition rolling. You’re ready to start, but the big question is, where do you begin? Enter Designer Premier.
Marina Dagenais’ Denver-based free matching service connects homeowners with design industry professionals, saving clients serious time when it comes to hunting down the perfect designer, builder or architect.
One of a handful of its kind nationwide, Denver Premier grew out of Dagenais’ seven years spent with the Denver Design District, where she says she found her calling while working with clients, showrooms and designers.
“My love for the industry came from seeing the passion these professionals had regarding design and the positive impact it had on their clients’ lives,” she says.
A Serious Time-Saver
Dagenais says she takes pride in serving others and finds satisfaction in the number of homeowner headaches she is able to cut out of the equation.
“‘How can I be of service?’ is often how I start my conversation with potential clients, and it really is the foundation of Designer Premier,” she says of the complimentary service, that has no up charge for working with professionals it refers. “We eliminate hours of searching the Web, making phone calls, worrying if you can trust someone, calling references, setting up interviews, etc.”
And no project is too big or too small for Dagenais’ expert guidance.
“From someone to assist with paint colors to a major update including furniture to ground-up construction, I have the right talent,” she says.
Dagenais describes her work with homeowners as pivotal.
“The most successful projects are born with the right design team in place from the very beginning,” she says. “Hiring a designer, architect or builder can feel very overwhelming, especially if you have never worked with one before. My specialty is helping you understand how different professionals work and assisting you in putting your design team together to assure a successful project.”
Advice to homeowners
Dagenais says her take on the right look for a home is based more on the reality of living in a space and the homeowner’s personal connection to it than on fleeting style trends.
“Beauty means something different to all of us,” she says. “I think that it is more important to live in spaces that we feel nurtured in. If a space is beautifully decorated but does not function or feel welcoming when you enter, it does not fulfill you.”
And, while many homeowners often are attracted to designers based on the look of their portfolios, Dagenais is quick to point out that her experience has shown there is more to a client-designer relationship than matching tastes.
“My specialty is helping you understand how different professionals work and to assist you in putting your design team together for a successful project,” she says. “I know each of the design professionals that I work with, which allows me to match them to you and each other, based on personalities, design style, scope of the project and budget. The right personality match is one of the most important elements in the success of your project.”
