Flatirons Food Film Festival Dishes Up Culinary Treats

Calling all foodies! October marks the third annual Flatirons Food Film Festival, which offers programs covering a multitude of cuisines, food-related topics and speakers. This is a jam packed event you won’t want to miss!

Experience the Flatirons Food Film Festival’s third annual festival this month from October 19-25. Over the course of six days, there will be eight film programs, visiting and local speakers and many other cinema-related events. Some events to mark on your calendars now:

  • Fermentation fans will want to buy tickets now, as fermentation king Sander Katz will host a book signing and fermented food fair, followed by two films and a Q&A session with Katz.
  • Guests are invited to attend the Flatirons Food Film Festival VIP reception and “East Side Sushi” screening on October 22 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. After appetizers, beer and wine from 5:30-7:15 p.m., chat with filmmaker Anthony Lucero of “East Side Sushi” and, afterwards, enjoy the film screening from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
  • Got some extra time? Stick around and enjoy book signings,  a downtown Boulder sushi crawl, a demo and tasting by Chef Lon Symensma of ChoLon and Cho77, a sampling of Pok Pok-style chicken wings made by Chef Theo Adley and a backyard permaculture tour.
