If you’re part of fifty percent of Americans that wake up, gets ready and reach for a big cup of coffee, there’s an event coming to Colorado that you don’t want to miss. The 5th annual Caffeine Crawl is making its way through Fort Collins, Boulder, Colorado Springs and Denver over the course of the next two weekends.

What is it? Picture a pub crawl or local wine tour, and substitute the wine and beer for coffee, tea and chocolate. With over 63 cafes, the crawl allows coffee and tea lovers to explore, meet and discover the local shops and cafes around town.

Started in 2011, the high-energy event has grown to include over 75 local participating vendors: “A lot of the people who attend are people who like coffee, and maybe they have one local spot that they go to on their way to work that they always hit up, and maybe they haven’t delved that deep into the other local shops,” says Colorado event organizer, Sadie Renee. “There’s always some shops on their route that maybe they’ve never heard of or never experienced and it gives them a more well-rounded understanding of what is available in their area.”

Tickets to the Caffeine Crawl range from $25 to $35, and you get to pick your route based on what shops you would like to visit. Each business will showcase their skills and their unique beverages with, of course, samples. Crawlers do have to provide their own transportation, be it by bike, foot or car.

A free beverage passport from The Passport Program (2-for-1 drinks at your favorite breweries, pubs, etc.) comes with a ticket in every city. Denver participants receive the Fika Denver Coffee Passport (2-for-1 drinks at your coffee shop).
