We could expand on how we’re feeling about National Margarita Day, but a certain song lyric has already taken the words out of our mouth: “Tequila!” Despite the snow on the ground in Denver, it’s still our duty to celebrate this beloved Mexican cocktail on Feb. 22. So, we’ve rounded up some deals around the Mile High City to help you imagine you’re basking in the sun on a tropical island. You’re welcome.

Chipotle: Need an excuse to get Chipotle for the third time this week? Their excellent margaritas are half-price all day.

Que Bueno Suerte!: Not only does this quaint South Pearl Street spot offer fun flavors such as raspberry jalapeño, blueberry mint and prickly pear, but they’re buy-one-get-one-free!

Lola Coastal MexicanLola is pulling out all the stops. From 4 p.m. to close, find $1 blanco, $2 reposado & $3 anéjo margaritas, as well as a “tequila education” class every half-hour between 5–7:30 p.m.

Los ChingonesMeanwhile, in RiNo, Los Chingones is offering five for five: five different specialty margaritas all for $5 each. Try the Spicy Pina crafted with house-infused pepper tequila, pineapple, fresh-squeezed orange, lime juice and a touch of agave.

Exotic Specialties
A few Denver restaurants won’t be offering deals, but still have intriguing margs. There’s an Italian Margarita at Grimaldi’sfeaturing amaretto and Monin cane syrup, as well as the Winter Down Mexico Guey at Old Major, with cinnamon bark syrup and roasted jalapeños. ¡Orale!

Donuts. Wait … Donuts?
You read that right. If you’re the DD for the night, or just prefer eating your calories over drinking them, try the Margarita Doughnut specials at Voodoo Doughnut Mile High and the newly opened Fractured Prune. Note: Voodoo’s is infused with tequila, Prune’s is not. (But both sound delicious).
