Grab your favorite leopard-, giraffe-, cheetah- and snake-print accessories. The annual Denver Zoo’s Do at the Zoo gala is back with food, drinks, live music and plenty of animal viewing, all for a great cause.
The fundraising event is set for June 21, with more than 70 area restaurants and breweries on hand and performances by the Annie Booth Band, Colorado Southern, Buckner Funk and Jazz and Funkiphino.
General admission tickets are $175; doors open at 7 p.m. New this year: Guests who purchase VIP passes will have access to the event an hour earlier and will enjoy catered cocktails from Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House in the Conoco tent. Proceeds from the fundraiser go to “What We Do at the Zoo,” which includes general maintenance, caring for roughly 4,000 animals, educating more than 225,000 school children and local and international conservation efforts.
A sneak peek at the menu: grilled wings from The Irish Snug, poppy seed cake with strawberry buttercream from Cake Crumbs, Los Locos Mexican-style lager from Epic Brewing Company, Summer Gin Punch from Leopold Bros. and much more. Visit the Denver Zoo’s website for the full list of vendors.
