If you haven’t been to the circus in a while, it’s nothing like what you remember. Cirque Italia, coming to Aurora and Littleton, is unlike anything you’ve experienced under the big tent before.

Cirque Italia’s Water Circus, created by Manuel Rebecchi, is a two-hour performance with big acts. “Let your imagination wander, because anything is possible in this new whimsical production.” Anything? Think water fountains, jet-skis, pirates, aerialists, contortionists, jugglers, roller-skaters, dinosaurs, and a wheel of death!

The show is an Aquatic Spectacular, symbolized by the blue-and-white big top tent instead of the traditional red-and-white one. The custom-built stage holds 35,000 gallons of water, which the performers will use in their acts. Combined with colorful lights, the water shimmers and dazzles.

In October, the traveling circus will have evening and matinee performances at the Town Center of Aurora (Oct. 18–21) and Littleton’s Southwest Plaza (Oct. 25–28). Tickets are $20 to $40.
