The American Red Cross of Colorado & Wyoming is seeking local “hero” nominations for the 2019 American Red Cross Heroes Soirée, the nonprofit’s signature fund-raising event.
The event will showcase nominees at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum on Friday, March 8, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Chosen nominees will receive a Community Hero Award for their extraordinary acts.
The Red Cross received eight nominations for the 2018 Soiree and are hoping to grow that number in 2019.
Who is a hero?
A hero exemplifies Red Cross values and supports the American Red Cross mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies. These heroes are community members who have stepped forward in a time of need. They run toward a crisis when others may run away.
If you know someone who has stepped forward during a time of need within the last year, nominate them! These heroes often do not work in the spotlight, but they do deserve recognition for their extraordinary acts.
How can you nominate a hero?
To nominate your local hero, go to redcross.org/coloradoheronominate before the Dec. 1 deadline.
