Have a tipple
Just in time for the truly cold weather, the Old Elk Distillery in Fort Collins has recently added a new taproom-style tasting room at its location at 253 Linden St. near Old Town Square. The tasting room has a selection of whiskeys and other spirits, as well as specialty cocktails. It also sells products from Old Elk Distillery, which was named Colorado Distillery of the Year in 2016 and 2017 by New York International Spirits and won a gold medal at 2018’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Feel like a donut?
Question: What’s even better than a cup of coffee? Answer: A cup of coffee with a donut, of course. Every other Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3, Local Table Tours hosts a Coffee and Donut Tasting Tour. Join in for a group lesson from an expert barista on how to properly prepare a cup of craft coffee, and then dunk a donut in it. Local Table offers an array of tours in Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins, as well as custom tours. Happy dunking.

A BEAST ON THE SLOPES
You’re having a perfect ski day—why interrupt the rhythm to stop into a lodge for lunch? That’s the idea behind Steamboat’s new Taco Beast snowcat, which is now roaming the slopes serving $4.50 trail tacos (including beef barbacoa, elk chorizo, and pollo asado), $4.50 Mexican sweet corn, and sodas. Get its current location @Steamboatdining, #TacoBeastSteamboat, and steamboat.com/tacobeast.
